Location:
Midlands, UK
Project duration:
2024 – 2026

Overview

ARH was engaged to deliver complete electrical infrastructure for Europe’s largest distribution centre, built for a leading UK supermarket group. Our role included installing supplies, containment, and controls for extensive automation systems across the site. A dedicated team of 70 engineers worked on-site over 18 months, supported by project managers and coordinators.

The challenge

The build required tight coordination with multiple contractors on a fast-moving, high-complexity site. Delivering essential systems in line with the evolving construction programme, while maintaining safety and avoiding disruption, was critical. The sheer scale of the project and the site’s operational targets demanded detailed planning and reliable execution.

Our approach

Phased delivery and consistent leadership – Our experienced site managers led phased installations, ensuring consistency and clear communication across disciplines.

Robust back-office support – Dedicated Health & Safety, procurement, and leadership teams provided the operational backbone for uninterrupted progress.

Collaboration and control – Our calm, proactive approach helped maintain momentum and high standards, even in a demanding, live construction environment.

The results

  • Critical systems delivered in line with complex programme requirements
  • High performance across safety, quality, and timeline metrics
  • A trusted partnership with the client on one of Europe’s flagship facilities
