Tony Kempton of Shrewsbury based ARH Group Ltd, a facilities management, building services and process engineering company was honoured to receive an award at last months inaugural Birmingham Health, Safety and Environmental (BHSEA) Member Awards Ceremony
Hosted at Walsall Football Club last month, Tony was presented with the first award of the event, the members spotlight, which recognises the most engaged member of the year.
Tony who has been at ARH Group Ltd for over eight years commented that “he was overwhelmed, grateful and thankful for being recognised in this way by BHSEA, and was really surprised to receive the accolade in the Awards’ inaugural year.
He went on to say: “he is always happy to recommend BHSEA to his professional network as it is a friendly association, where likeminded people are able to meet up once a month to listen and engage with individual experts or organisations that are there to speak about their experience and expertise. It is invaluable in my work as Health and Safety Manager, enabling me to maintain and top-up my skills and knowledge and so I am grateful to my employer, ARH Group, for all their support too.”
Awards host and BHSEA Chair, Wayne Bishop, explained that Tony had been chosen as the winner of the award for his dedication, support and active engagement in raising the profile of BHSEA and getting involved in many of the member activities such as the monthly events, social media, and training.
Wayne also commented that he was great at generating member referrals by encouraging local businesses to join BHSEA, and for being a positive role model for the sector.The Awards programme, introduced for the first-time last year, is designed to showcase, celebrate, and acknowledge the much-valued contributions and success of members in five different award categories.
Four of the awards were decided upon by BHSEA’s Trustees, and one of the awards was voted for exclusively by BHSEA members, in an online poll.
BHSEA Chair and Awards host, Wayne Bishop, said “I am honoured to present these awards. Despite the challenging economic conditions for many, the remarkable resilience demonstrated by the BHSEA members serves as a testament to the unwavering commitment, hard work, and dedication for the protection of people and safeguarding of businesses.”
