Domestic Heating Systems Engineer (Heat Pumps)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Heating/Heat Pump Engineer to join our dynamic team.

The Engineer is responsible for ensuring the efficient and high-quality installation, servicing, and repair of heat pump systems in domestic properties.

This is an exciting opportunity for an willing engineer in the Shropshire or Staffordshire area to join a growing business.

Responsibilities

1.1. Installation:

  • ​Install air source heat pumps in residential properties.
  • Ensure all installations comply with industry standards, regulations, and manufacturer guidelines.

1.2. Servicing and Maintenance:

  • ​Carry out routine maintenance and servicing of heat pump systems to ensure efficient and reliable operation.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests to identify potential issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.

1.3. Breakdown and Repairs:

  • Respond promptly to breakdown calls, troubleshoot and repair faulty systems efficiently.
  • Diagnose issues such as electrical faults or performance inefficiencies.
  • Ensure a high first-time fix rate to minimise inconvenience to the customer.

1.4. Customer Interaction:

  • Provide clear, professional communication to customers about the work being carried out, any issues found, and how they are being resolved.
  • Offer advice on system usage and energy efficiency.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of heating systems.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing, Heating, or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience and/or interest in air source heat pumps preferred but not essential.
