Technical Lead (HVAC / Mechanical)

Main Duties

Providing support and advice to employees and clients on all technical issues relating to mechanical & HVACCarrying out technical audits on sub-contractors and field engineers ensuring they are working to regulation standards and meeting company expectations Ensure company meets compliance standards by monitoring, managing and reviewing the necessary certification requirements under current regulations (F-Gas, Oftec, Gas Safe, Water Regulations, Building Regs) F-Gas register & F-Gas Register compliance supervision and ensuring all regulations and compliance is in line with industry expectations Attending client meetings on site to discuss new and on-going worksProviding accurate and value for money quotations for new and on-going works Assisting with all planning & invoice queries relating to HVAC & Mechanical works Assisting with the development of staff by identifying skills gaps and supporting individuals in gaining the necessary knowledge, skills and experience to carry out works competentlyEnsuring the company’s compliance to REFCOM, Oftec and Gas Safe standardsSupporting with interviews & onboarding of new engineers and ensuring required qualifications are in up to date Carrying out in-house training and refresher courses to staff to ensure all expected standards are met on a consistent basisTravelling to various site locations across the UK to provide technical and practical support to engineersProducing robust reports of a high technical standard for colleagues and clients.Supporting the appointment and auditing of sub-contractors.Ensure that the company is compliant with legislation and qualifications.Carrying out general administrative duties relevant to the role

Relevant technical experience of a similar role

Driving Licence (Full UK)

Trade specific qualifications relevant to the role

Manufacturer training on HVAC Systems / Mechanical

HVAC / Mechanical qualifications (installation, maintenance)

Heat Pump Qualifications / Training

Refrigeration Qualifications / Training

Experience

Site experience of five years’ minimum carrying install and / or maintenance works on all aspects of HVAC / Mechanical works

Site experience on building services covering all aspects of technical disciplines such as electrical, Gas, fire alarms

Experience of working with remote field teams

Knowledge/Skills/

Interest

I.T Literate, able to competently work with MS office products.
